This organization administers and inventories the software licenses installed on enterprise servers (mainframes) and their associated hardware (communications controllers, etc.) in Puget Sound and Huntsville. The Enterprise Server Software License Administrator position is held by Debbie F. The ERTS request is the authorizing document for enterprise server software activities. Enterprise Server management policy requires an approved ERTS request before changes to enterprise server software, including installation, transfer, or removal. Installed software includes early release, QPP, and evaluation, as well as production vendor software. Changes also include upgrades to existing software that change the product name or product number. Changes to the server hardware, such as swapping with another machine or changing CPU capacity, also impact software licenses and require a software ERTS request.
